Job Title : Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Location: Manchester / Warrington based office
A national spec housing specialist with a excellent reputation require an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work on multiple unit traditional build large development projects across the North West region. The office is based in Warrington and the sites are in the North West area. This is an amazing opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join this award winning, national house builder who is after the opportunity to work on some challenging projects. They have a fantastic reputation as a responsible and professional high end developer. The successful candidate will manage projects from inception to completion and be experienced in the preparation of schedules of work/bill of quantities, NBS specifications, preliminaries, contract conditions, employers requirements, cost plans and estimates.
Some of the key responsibilities of an Assistant Quantity Surveyor include, but are not limited to:
Analysis of tender allowances
The measurement and valuation of works (on site and from drawings), for valuations, variations and final accounts.
Agreement of valuation dates and preparing, submitting and agreement of interim valuations in accordance with those dates.
Administering and/or advising on Main Contract and Subcontract conditions
Subcontract and Design Procurement
Subcontract payments, variations and final accounts
Submission of Cost Value Reconciliations
Preparation of cost to complete
Cash management and maximisation
Cash Flow and Turnover forecast
Provision of standard reports
Internal Valuations/CVRs and subcontract liability reports in accordance with schedule of accounting period end dates and deadlines
A minimum of 2 years work experience (on site and in the office) as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.
You must have at least 2 years experience working for a housing developer or housing contractor.
All applicants must have a relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management. (you could also be in your last year with 2+ years work experience too)
Previous recent experience running multi-unit residential schemes is essential
A full Drivers licence is also essential.
Salary and Benefits
£20,000 - £30,000
Pension plus contributions
Holidays plus bank holidays
