Job Title: Estimator / Senior Estimator
Office location : West Cheshire
You will identify and cost the engineering issues that effect a site at land viability stage (analysis of site investigations, service search information)
You will provide knowledge of cost and benefits that support profitable business decisions.
You will produce and monitor superstructure costs on a square foot basis.
Some pre commencement tendering for specialist trades such as demolition and piling will also be involved.
Ensure tender documents, addendums, client correspondence etc., are logged on the server and relevant team members are issued with copies.
· Produce sub-contractor enquiry schedule, obtaining suggestions / feedback from the tender team, procurement department preferred/ approved contractor schedules
You will work with the Technical and Engineering teams with close involvement with their Land Department.
You will have worked an Estimator for a house builder or housing organisation in a previous role.
You will have strong experience in producing build cost for land appraisal purposes.
All applicants must be qualified as an Estimator with relevant software or time served working for a housing organisation.
Previous experience working for a residential contractor on the civil engineering elements of projects.
Experience estimating civil engineering projects from first principles
You must be thorough and apt in managing relationships with key persons.
Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities
Thorough and reliable
Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
HND / HNC
Quantity Surveying degree or BSc/BA in Engineering, Commercial Management or Construction

£50,000 - £67,000 (depending on level and experience)
